Job Overview:
We are actively seeking a seasoned Outside Plant (OSP) Construction Manager to oversee Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) builds across Idaho. markets. This direct hire role requires a hands-on, open to 50% travel-ready professional with at least 5 years of experience supervising subcontractors on aerial and underground fiber construction projects. The OSP CM will be responsible for field-level leadership, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day construction oversight of aerial and underground FTTH installations across multiple sites in the regions.
  • Manage subcontractors and field crews, holding them accountable to performance, safety, and quality benchmarks.
  • Travel to project locations statewide to perform on-site audits, progress checks, and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal project managers, engineers, and permitting teams to coordinate resources and schedules.
  • Monitor and report on daily/weekly production, including materials, labor, and field conditions.
  • Enforce construction standards, environmental compliance, and health/safety regulations (OSHA, DOT, etc.).
  • Review construction prints, redlines, and as-built documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence.
  • Support field onboarding of new subcontractors and ensure they meet training and safety requirements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing subcontractors on OSP FTTH aerial and underground projects.
  • Strong understanding of fiber construction standards, pole line work, directional drilling, and permitting processes.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and interpret job scopes with minimal oversight.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, construction tracking tools, and basic GIS systems.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to travel daily and stay overnight as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • OSHA 10/30 certification or similar safety training.
  • Experience with local municipalities, utility companies, and permit offices.
  • Previous roles involving QA/QC, OSP inspection, or splicing are a plus.
Compensation: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
